Lee Ha-yi, also known by her stage name Lee Hi, is a South Korean singer. She was born on September 23, 1996. The 19 year old singer is known as the runner-up of SBS's K-pop Star Season 1. After that, she joined YG Entertainment which is one of the big three (three biggest music entertainment compay in south Korea) including JYP and SM Entertainment. She did a great job choosing YG as it really suits her style. She has this raspy/husky/jazzy voice and she knows how to control it.
Her debut single "1.2.3.4", was released on October 28, 2012 and reached No. 1 with first-week sales of 667,549 downloads. That is why she is known as the monster rookie. Solo artist had a tough time to be popular in South Korea but not for this singer. She slayed her first solo debut and had attracted people attention.

One of the best song from this singer is Breathe. This songs is in Korean but once you listen to it, the language barrier doesn't matter anymore. It's a slow song. this is a special song as it is compose by a fellow artist from a different record label which is Jong Hyun. She gave Lee Hi this song simply because she taught of Lee Hi voice during the composing.
