BIOGRAPHY

Dato', or once in a while Datin Sri, Siti Nurhaliza binti Tarudin was born 11 January 1979. She is a Malaysian vocalist, lyricist, record maker, TV moderator and businessperson. Since her debut, she has won various global singing competitions. She had been delegated as Voice of Asia in 2002 in the wake of winning the Grand Prix Champion title at the Voice of Asia singing rivalry which was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. A couple of years prior, in 1999 she had won Gold Award in Asia New Singer Competition at Shanghai Asia Music Festival, held in Shanghai, People's Republic of China. Additionally, around the same time, she had won two recompenses from 'South Pacific International Song and Singing Competition 1999' held in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

Siti was born on 11 January 1979 in Berek Polis Kg. Awah, Kuala Lipis where she is the fourth youngster in a group of eight kin to Tarudin Ismail, a cop and Siti Salmah Bachik, a housewife. She originates from a musically slanted family; her sibling, Saiful Bahri Tarudin, and her sisters Siti Norsaida and Siti Saerah are additionally artists.
