Alecia Beth Moore or her stage name "Pink", is a 37 year old singer-songwriter and dancer. She was born on September 8, 1979. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she started her carrier as an artist in a all female band named Choice in 1995. The group was disbanded in 1998. She continued her journey as a solo artist and debuted her solo album entitled Can't take me home in 2000.
She won her first Grammy-award by collaborating in the famous song called "Lady Marmalade" along with Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim and Mya. She inspired so many people through her songs. Her songs has a nature which is weird than the mainstreams pop-dance songs. It has a very deep meaning. Such as her song entitled Stupid Girls. This song carries the massage that girls doesn't have to be skinny to be loved. They don't have to follow those mainstream "girly-girl" style. Basically the massage here is, every girl is beautiful no matter how they look or behave. They just have to accept it. Moreover, this song has a catchy beat to it.
Well known for having "a strong signature voice and a literally acrobatic ability on stage", Pink has received many positive respond from music critics. She has sold over 135 million records worldwide. She has won many awards include three Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, a Daytime Emmy Award and six MTV Music Award. She is a great artist.
